Model Courses

2014 Mellon Graduate Fellows

Teaching Materials

This year’s Mellon Teaching-Research Fellows developed materials for a class that teaches undergraduates how to conduct original research. Although “original research” looks different in each field, these proposed course materials demonstrate thoughtful and creative methods for training undergraduates to intervene in their fields and work with primary and secondary texts. The materials from each fellow include a syllabus and several assignments, and are intended to serve as models and inspiration for other graduate students and faculty in early modern studies.
